Shoulder Workshop

Fostering Fluidity: Shoulder Workshop

These lessons could be done in any order you choose, although the order suggested below is optimal. It is a requirement that you move very gently and slowly, always listening to your body to stay within a comfortable range of motion. Please reach out if you need support!

Part 1: Lifting the Elbows

This is a “tummy time” lesson, with most instructions taking place while lying on the stomach. These movements can be challenging in that they typically must start out very, very small. Move gently and do not force anything!

Part 2: Flying

In another “tummy time” lesson, this lesson works with movements of lifting fingers backward. These movements work to form a beautiful connection between fingers, arm, and shoulder.

Part 3: Candelabra

This classic movement lesson plays with standing forearms moving towards the feet and the head while lying on the back.
